What the Android app stores

Task names, room or area labels, notes, due dates, recurrence settings, snooze and pause status, completion dates, service notes, entered costs and currencies are stored in the app's private storage on your device. Room labels are text you enter; the app does not access your location, contacts or calendar.

The app has no internet permission, advertising, analytics, tracking, payment SDK or third-party runtime library. ApexNode does not receive your home records through the app. There is no app account or developer-operated cloud database.

Optional reminders and permissions

Reminders are off until you turn them on. On Android 13 and later, Android asks for notification permission when you choose to enable reminders. You can decline and keep using the app. A daily local notification summarizes how many tasks are due; it does not include task names, room labels or notes.

The app uses Android's boot-completed permission to restore your selected reminder schedule after a device restart. It also adjusts the schedule after clock or time-zone changes. No exact-alarm access, location access, broad file access or foreground service is used. Android and device battery settings may delay or prevent reminders. Open the app after force-stopping it to resume scheduling.

Exports and backups you choose

You can save a PDF home record, service-history CSV or JSON backup through Android's document picker, or share a PDF using an app you choose. These actions give your selected destination a copy. A cloud drive, email or other provider handles it under its own privacy policy. DwellTick does not encrypt exported files; choose a suitable destination for personal notes.

Automatic Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled. Export JSON before uninstalling, clearing app storage or changing phones. Restore adds independent copies without replacing existing tasks or enabling reminders. PDF and CSV are readable reports, not restorable backups. No live multi-device sync is provided.

Retention and deletion

Records stay until you delete them or clear app storage. The most recent saved task action can be undone while its Undo button remains visible. A recovery copy of unreadable saved data may be retained locally so you can export it from Help. Uninstalling or clearing app storage removes local tasks, preferences and recovery files; exported or shared copies remain at their destinations and must be deleted separately.

Temporary prepared and shared export files are stored in the app's private cache. Files older than 48 hours are cleaned up on a later launch, except a pending export. Android may also clear cached files. Support correspondence stays in the support mailbox as needed to respond and maintain relevant records.

Support, Google Play and this website

When you email apexnode.dev@gmail.com, the email provider processes your address and message so we can respond. Avoid sending private household details unless they are needed to resolve your issue.

Google Play handles app distribution and any upfront purchase under Google's privacy policy. DwellTick does not receive payment-card details.

This static page is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We added no analytics, advertisements, tracking scripts or external fonts. Cloudflare may process technical request information, including IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Children and policy changes

DwellTick is a general home-planning utility marketed to adults. It is not directed at children and has no developer-operated data-collection service. Changes to the app's data practices will be reflected here with a new effective date.
